The opened short-term courses in 2015 are
- Masonary work
- House wiring installation
These are the first courses opened at G.T.H.S (Myeik). There are three candidates at masonary work and six candidate at house wiring installation.
The trainers of these course are Sayar U Nyi Nyi Aung from Building Technology Department and Sayarma Daw Pwint Yi Aye from Electrical Technology Department.

According to the local needs, the basic solar home system was opened three-time and was attended by 76 candidates. Masonry work was opened two-time and there are altogether 41 candidates attended totally. Basic welding training was opened one-time and 26 candidates attended and single-cylinder diesel engine repairing and maintenance were attended by 26 candidates.

According to the cooperation of swisscontact and G.T.H.S (Myeik), the basic sewing course was opened three-time from 2019 to 2020. Twenty-four candidates attended at first batch, twenty-five were in the second, and twenty were in the third batch. There were altogether sixty-nine candidates have attended the basic sewing training.
The objective of opening this basic sewing training was in order to get job prospects. After ending, this training, the candidates can find income by themselves for applying the knowledge of this training.
These courses are opened by asking professional tailors privately. These also are a popular training among the local people.
Government Technical High School also cooperates with other organization, ACTED Myanmar, in order to fulfil local needs. According to the cooperation of ACTED Myanmar, three courses are opened. They are

- masonry and carpentry course
- single-cylinder diesel engine repairing and maintenance
